- 1 cup of soaked organic almonds.
- 2 cups of water.
- 2 tablespoons of raw cacao – very healthy and rich and without the sugar of most commercial chocolate powder.
- 4 pitted dates.
- A couple of ice cubes
- Half a small avocado for a creamier almond milk or one banana for a sweeter blend.
- 2 tablespoons of chia seeds for omega-3 goodness and a thicker chocolate milk.
- 1 teaspoon of natural vanilla extract or Ceylon cinnamon for extra flavor.
- 2 to 4 drops of natural stevia if you’d like it even sweeter, though probably unnecessary, especially with a banana added.
Almond Milk Method
- Add the water, almonds and pitted dates and at first start blending at a low speed.
- Move up to high and blend until the almonds and dates are in small pieces.
- Add the cacao and rest of the ingredients and blend up on high until the consistency looks good to you.
